We have a large family and loads of social gatherings so amazing temperament is of the utmost importance to us. Our dogs are part of our lives and are well vetted for temperament long before they are bred. Our puppies are raised in our home with us — being well socialized, neurologically stimulated and exposed to many new things before they go home to their new families.

Intelligence and Trainability
Our Aussies are intelligent, trainable and wonderful dogs. They are our companions and our partners. The majority of our lines are from extremely intelligent work lines, which are very biddable and wanting to please. We raise our puppies for the utmost intelligence and trainability.

All of our dogs are genetically health tested to ensure their offspring are, “as healthy as can be puppies,” for new families. So that you can love your wonderful pups for as long as possible!

Beauty and Tails
Who doesn’t want a gorgeous dog? Our breeding dogs have beautiful faces, bodies and coats and make beautiful babies. After years in animal husbandry we have developed a good eye for confirmation and beauty. Every puppy is just stunning and every puppy always has a full and beautiful tail that is kept intact!
How we do it:
Nature & NURTURE
In addition to choosing and breeding the very best dogs - NATURE! We also focus heavily on the NURTURE of Painted Pup Puppies.
We also set our newborn puppies up for the utmost success in life. We raise our puppies in our home with our family of 7, so they are exposed to lots of kids, other dogs and cats.
We take them on many outings and expose them to as many different new things as we are able to. We frequently have friends over who also love holding and playing with puppies.
Painted Pup puppies are also raised using Early Neurological Stimulation or (ENS) from 3-16 days of age and a method of continued stimulation and development called “Puppy Culture”. This provides puppies with a foundation of experiences and skills that will help them grow into confident, well-adjusted, adult dogs. "The research shows that puppies enjoy huge neurological and emotional benefits from the protocols in the Puppy Culture program, even into adulthood." This helps the puppies’ brains to develop to their highest potential and creates success for:

We start our puppies off on the right foot. They are raised in our home with our family and children and on our farm. They are well socialized and exposed to many different things in their 8 weeks with us.
